About me

Kelly is a white woman with medium length brown hair. She's wearing a brown leather jacket and sitting at a table with a tablet in front of her.

Do you need someone to go first in leading a new way of doing things?

That’s me.

I’m a senior communications and marketing leader with experience leading change in organizations.

I was the first person hired in a corporate communications team to develop centralized editorial standards for 5 international financial services brands. I was the first person at that organization to lead the corporate social media strategy.

I’m an entrepreneur, a strategy nerd and a creative thinker. And I’m fascinated by how humans use and engage with things on the Internet.

I’ve combined my background in online content strategy, user-centred design, and my expertise in digital accessibility to help organizational leaders try new ideas, rally their teams and get executives onside.

And I’m passionate about changing how people learn. I’ve developed and launched bespoke courses to over 150 professionals from across Canada and around the world.

As the daughter of a disabled mom, my lived experience is the driving force behind my passion for accessible marketing and communications. I’m on a mission to humanize accessibility and bust through the myth that it’s boring, technical and complicated.

I’m a Board member with Level It Up, a nonprofit dedicated to finding meaningful work for people on the autism spectrum and I’m on the National Advisory Committee for Partners for Planning, a nonprofit that empowers people with disabilities and their families to create meaningful lives and secure futures, firmly rooted in community.

Why work with me?

Because I take the time to thoroughly understand your business, design a digital communications plan that engages your audiences and helps you show your people what matters to your organization.

I believe that content can’t be conversational until it’s inclusive, and that by bringing diverse people and perspectives together, we create richer and more meaningful dialogue.

I’m also the Founder and President of Squarely Accessible.
